New year message!

The editor of 'OF INDIAN ORIGIN' online magazine Nisha asked me if I can decorate her new year message for 'Pool' Magazine and the result is below. I like her optimistic way of looking forward to the bright future keeping the present day's darkness in mind. Good job Nisha!

Adam and Idee!

2 years back, I was trying to pitch one TV show my own and I have worked on the same for a while. I had managed to make one pitch book as well but before I approach anyone I got the call form Disney.Playdom. The pitch book was lying inside the box till the date and now I decided to put some light on it. The theme was dancing around one 8 year smart boy who wants to make his own show. And he gets one side kick - his own idea! I called this theme - Adam and idee! Enjoy the premier =)

I am in DISNEY woohooo!!

As you can see, I am an animator. If I think about what drove me to become an animator, I would say it is nothing other than WALT DISNEY’s charisma. Each of my childhood dreams has been coloured by Disney art and characters. I guess this is the same story of all artists from my generation. I always wondered how the hand drawn characters move. I always wished to move my drawings as if they were alive. If somebody has this passion inside his heart how can he concentrate on other stuff? My hands didn’t shiver when I threw away my LAWYER’s gown, which I had got after spending 6 valuable years. But I never thought that I will one day be a part of that great entertainment company which has almost 100 years of heritage. Yes folks, I am a DISNEY artist now!

DOUBTSOURCING!

In Badmash, we had worked on an animated sitcom named 'Doubt sourcing'.It’s  about global collaboration, or the lack thereof, centered on a dysfunctional IT company in Bangalore, India. Even though most of the characters are Indian, the show is written for Americans. CLICK HERE to watch other episodes.

'The Story of Walls'

Hey guys, I am glad to share with you that ‘The Story of Walls’ –an animated short in which I played the role of Animation Director has been nominated for Annie awards for the past year. It’s truly an honor for me. This short is directed by Pete Oswald. He had done the characters and the art direction too. I am sure; if you get a chance to watch it you can see his magic there. And the story was written by Sandeep Sood which is brilliantly Awesome. I have got a chance to work with some highly skilled artist there in Badmash Studios.

I am blessed to get an opportunity to work with an awesome team which is truly passionate about the art. So congrats guys, let’s pray and hope for the best.

We are not allowed to post the clippings, so I am posting some images (which I have stolen from Pete’s blog. Sorry Pete G) you can get clearer picture from Pete’s blog.

“The Story of Walls” is an absurdist history of trade protectionism. Throughout history, our world has allowed simple misunderstandings, greed, and an all-consuming love of nachos to divide us. To succeed as a people, we must understand that our individual success is based on our collective success. More importantly, we must also understand that there are enough nachos for everyone!”
