My Showreel 2014

Watch in HD for better result.

This is my latest show reel in which I have tried to showcase a few cool works done for Disney games. I got opportunity to animate the ever time classical characters of Disney includes Genie, Ursula, Merida, Cinderella etc. I have enjoyed so much working on those characters and I am privileged to get such chance.
@fellow animators; If you takes this animations as reference, let me say these animations had done for games where size matters. We have to take care of the quality of the animation and the size of games well, which means, the designs must be the same and the animation must smooth, BUT we have to keep the game size light as possible too. It was challenging to optimize the animation as much as we can with out loosing the quality of the out put. The trick is, get rid of anticipations and settlings (cushioning) where ever possible or at least cut down the length. And also you know, do 4's instead of 2's. If you see the animation in depth, you will see it.
I have designed many characters for our games, especially Armies of Magic. The requirement was to design enough to convey the massage not spend time in polishing. Also, I set the designs part play faster in fear of the total file size. But, you can see those in my previous posts

A couple of month ago, one of my game has been launched called "SwampFly". I designed and executed it with the great help of my friends 'HugeHop'. I would say, the game play is not new new, but I tried to make it much more 'artistic' without loosing the addiction factor and thrill. It is available in Android, iTunes, Windows and This is the 'first Indian Game' launched in Amazon Fire TV  =)

Oh.. You like designs more?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am trying to put my works together in a Showreel. It is hard to pick good once from my last 4 years of work which are scattered around my disk. I think it will be cruel if I force anybody to watch my showreel full, especially if he prefers designs over animation. So I decided to be kind to them (lol) and posting main designs here. For the animation lovers, I am working hard on my reel!

Game character designing

The Magic word in Gaming industry is 'OPTIMIZATION'.  The key to make your games easily playable is to use optimized assets. As I was from Animation Industry I had a tendency to make thinks more detailed. More details means more weight. It was challenging to design something appealing with minimum details. The rule was simple - It should be small, but readable very well. Don't use details or fancy effects but make it beautiful. Sounds irony eh? But I hope I did it. Check the pigeon how sexy she is ;-)

Realistic Character painting
I asked by my friend to design and paint a realistic mafia girl character recently. Since I started my career I dealt with  stylized characters hence I don't have any experience like that. Also, in animation, we have an unwritten rule, that if you are animating; do what a camera cannot do. If anybody needs a super realistic character, why should he waste his time painting her or him and take a photo rather. Anyway, I did it first time such a painting and guess what, it turned well (I know you can do it much better than this, but this was my first attempt bro) . Still I love stylized art lol =)
I took 3 to 4 hours for this and I used many photos as reference mainly - Viper from Kill Bill.

Working on latest portfolio

As I am working with Disney for last 4 years I couldn't update my portfolio or reel. In fact I was busy with my schedule; at the same time I was enjoying it so much and it was hard to find time for a reel. In the current game - Disney's Hidden world we were working on a hidden object game in which all super movies of Disney is gonna be featured. There is not much to design anything new because everything is already designed, but I am privileged to get some coolest classical Disney characters EVER to animate.
I have already finished Beast from Beauty and the beast, Genie and Abu from Aladdin, Merida, mother bear and 3little bears from Brave, Cruella De velle from 101 Dalmatians, Ursula (she is hot!) from Little Mermaid and the list goes on. And guess what, I am lucky enough to get directed by the legends from Disney and Pixar like Eric Goldberg - the original Animator of Genie!!!
I am trying to do a new portfolio including all my new and fresh works and I will share with you. Stay tuned =)
